At 40,000 square feet, NRG Manchester is the largest gym in Manchester. Designed as a fitness space open to all, there is careful design of the gym layout for the best gym experience. The aim of NRG is to make fitness more accessible for everyone, which is made possible with 24/7 access to the facilities and a range of cardio, strength, and functional zones.
MEMBER FOCUSED DESIGN
When creating this space, Shafiq worked closely with Life Fitness to ensure that the gym flow made the space feel more accessible for everyone. Small details, such as the female only section that cannot be seen from the gym floor, allow for members to feel comfortable in their workout space, and prevents issues and objections from future members. The large ICG Studio has been designed with integrated lighting solutions to enhance training to be a fully immersive experience.
STRENGTH FOCUSED
NRG Manchester Stretford is an Official Hammer Strength Training Centre. It has a full range of plate loaded, selectorised, and free weight stations to help members reach their fitness goals. The squat racks and lifting platforms are accentuated with coloured LED backlighting and mirrors to provide a premium experience.
