National Personal Training Competition Closes Aug. 31
SCHILLER PARK, Ill., July 13, 2011 – Life Fitness, the global leader in commercial fitness equipment manufacturing, and the American Council on Exercise, America’s largest nonprofit fitness certification, education and training organization in the world, today announce the final leg of the search for America’s Personal Trainers to Watch. The Personal Trainers to Watch program encourages fitness enthusiasts and trainers themselves to enter the program for the chance to be recognized as one of the country’s top personal trainers. Participants have until August 31, 2011 to visit www.LifeFitness.com/PersonalTrainers and nominate a personal trainer.
“The overwhelming public response to the Personal Trainers to Watch program reiterates the important role that personal trainers play in helping gym-goers achieve their fitness goals,” said Chris Clawson, president of Life Fitness. “We encourage people to continue recognizing the fitness professionals who demonstrate a growing commitment to helping our country make physical activity a priority.”
The grand-prize winner, to be selected by an elite panel of industry influencers¹, will receive $5,000 toward his or her personal training business; a select piece of Life Fitness equipment; an ACE fitness certification package and exam voucher; and official designation as Life Fitness and ACE’s Personal Trainer to Watch.
Ten finalists will also receive a personalized award plaque during an exclusive ceremony at this year’s Club Industry Show in Chicago on October 14, 2011.
“We’re honored to team with Life Fitness to seek out and recognize fitness professionals who embody ACE’s best practice standards of excellence,” said Scott Goudeseune, American Council on Exercise president and CEO. “As coaches, motivators and experts in their field, personal trainers are a key element in improving the activity level and overall health for millions of Americans.”
For official program rules, please visit www.LifeFitness.com/PersonalTrainers. Nominations are limited to one entry per person. Entries must be received by August 31, 2011 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
