BURN FITNESS USES SYNRGY360 TRAINING TO ADD DIVERSITY
When a health club keeps exercisers engaged, success follows. Group training proves to be a valuable source of engagement for one popular Michigan health club.
Mark Dufresne and Alyssa Tushman opened the first Burn Fitness in Rochester Hills, Michigan in 2010 and added a 15,000-square-foot facility in Clawson, Michigan in early 2015. A successful expansion required creating a niche in the fitness market—robust small group training proved to be the answer.
"With the rise of all of the different specialty studios in the area
and in the industry in general [SYNGRY training] has allowed
us to diversify ourselves."
— Mike Rushford, CLUB OPERATOR
The highlight at Burn Fitness in Clawson is a busy and vibrant SYNRGY360 system that offers small group workouts and high-intensity interval training. Exercisers pay $240 for two SYNRGY360 group training classes each week for 12 weeks. With 12 to 14 people in each session and several trainers running several sessions, the SYNRGY360 unit provides substantial added revenue for Burn Fitness.
"SYNRGY [training] has really allowed us to expand and offer more to our members."
- Mike Rushford, CLUB OPERATOR
Burn Fitness members keep each other motivated and excited for group training. The club is adding more SYNRGY classes to fill the demand.
“One of the great things is the team atmosphere. We’re all cheering each other and working together. It makes workouts that much better.”
– Dudley Wellington, BURN FITNESS MEMBER
